Make a Difference House

(NHA Changes Agents at the Glenncrest Make A Difference House with Youth in the Community)

Phelps Stokes National Homecomers Academy (NHA), in partnership with A&R Realtors, and LifeStarts Youth and Family Services, provide a fun and safe recreational and learning center at 5062 Kimi Gray Court SE DC. The Glenncrest Make a Difference House (MADH) is a community-building center within the Glenncrest Community.

Homecomers, volunteers, and NHA consultants provide daily supervision and support for youth, while encouraging each to participate in youth community clubs and organizations. Youth that display maturity and leadership qualities are appointed as Youth and Young Adult ambassadors (YYAA), and embrace the "call" of their generation to be agents of change in their respective environments. Most importantly, youth residents are given opportunities to interact with adults and peers to cultivate positive relationships.

The MADH hosts neighborhood meetings and activities bringing together residents 5 days a week (Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays 2:00- 8:00pm, and Saturdays 3:00 – 9:00pm.)
